On 23 August 202, the Irrawaddy published an article highlighting how thousands of displaced Rohingyas living in Western Myanmar face an acute shortage of food and essential supplies in the light of aid blockade. The COVID-19 outbreak has exasperated the ground situation as people cannot go out to work and make a living. In the absence of cash allowance and food-relief aid by the World Food Program (WFP), Rohingyas continue to suffer.
