Sep 14, 2021

On 15 September 2021, Legal Action Worldwide (LAW) announced that it has submitted a communication to the International Criminal Court in partnership with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. The communication urges the Prosecutor of the Court to accept the National Unity Government’s declaration granting the ICC jurisdiction over genocide and other international crimes committed in Myanmar since July 2002 as the legitimate representative of Myanmar under international law. LAW represents over 500 Rohingya clients, including Rohingya women’s network Shanti Mohila (Peace Women) and a group of male survivors of sexual violence.
