Myanmar’s State Administration Council (SAC) dictated key revisions to Myanmar’s legal system that criminalize peaceful protests, and enable violations of the right to privacy and arbitrary arrests and detention. AJC Members International Commission of Jurists and Human Rights Watch advocated for the Myanmar military government to reverse is post-coup d’état revisions of legal provisions for human rights in the country.
