The Asia Justice Coalition is a network of organizations whose purpose is to promote justice and accountability for gross violations of international human rights law and serious violations of international humanitarian law in Asia, and to contribute to the fulfillment of the rights of victims and their families.
AIM OF THE
ASIA JUSTICE COALITION
The aim of the Asia Justice Coalition is to ensure responsibility, justice and accountability for grave crimes in Asia, and to strengthen and mobilize Asian civil society actors, human rights organizations, legal actors and their allies.
INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE & ACCOUNTABILITY
Asia, compared to other regions of the world, has had the least engagement with mechanisms of international justice and accountability. It has no regional legal institutions, and has amongst the fewest states per region that are signatories to the Rome Statute
The Asia Justice Coalition advocates for justice and accountability for gross violations of international human rights and humanitarian law in Asia. We draw upon the experience and expertise of our members, to coordinate and advocate at multiple levels - the local, regional and international.
